Narcissus or Daffodil or Jonquil is a spring flowering perennial plant grown from long lived bulbs and belongs to the Amaryllis family. The flower is made up of six petal-like tepals surrounding a trumpet shaped corona in yellows, white and orange shades. Native to southern Europe and North Africa they have been cultivated for centuries in the Netherlands. In the language of flowers the narcissus symbolizes regard, formality and unrequited love.
